Along the beach, he walked slowly, mourning for the death of his final baseball season. It happened all so fast, and he really could not believe that is how his high school career was coming t oa close. They had all worked so hard, running mile after mile and throwing ball after ball. It seemed almost unfair.
Legs weighted down by defeat, he stopped walking and dragged his eyes to the sunset before him. Its amazing how something so beautiful can appear on a day so gloomy.
He pulled his water bottle up from his side, but before he took a swig, he admired the the design. Suddenly, he had the strength to look forward and carry on.
